English Edition of Panda Atlas Published in the UK

On October 17, the English edition of Panda Atlas, co-authored by the Sichuan Forestry and Grassland Bureau, was officially published in the UK. It is now available across 40 English-speaking countries worldwide.

A relevant official noted that the international release of this innovative atlas is a landmark, marking the first time a thematic atlas in the field of Chinese local chronicles has reached the global stage. This publication deepens the international dissemination of Chinese giant panda culture and its ecological protection philosophy, contributing to China’s cultural outreach and global storytelling.

The English edition of Panda Atlas builds on the 2019 version published by Fangzhi Publishing House, featuring new creative work, compilation, and design to bring it to an English-speaking audience. This official publication documents various aspects of the giant panda, providing a comprehensive account of its origin, ecology, research, conservation efforts, and cultural significance.

The atlas not only covers the biological traits, habits, and reproductive protection of giant pandas but also uses an array of rare photographs and diagrams to illustrate the evolving relationship between pandas and humans, weaving together history and culture.
